Frequently Asked Questions

A pavement, it is the layer that we put on the soil to a smooth and flat road surface, it takes as a purpose to provide areas of transit or work for vehicles, persons or machinery and has to be constructed based on the needs and technical specifications or of appearance that it has to cover.

For its functionality we will differentiate the pavements in 2 types:

- Pavements for Pedestrian Use, which use is going to be exclusively of persons, or vehicles and machinery of personal use.

- Pavements of Industrial Use, which are going to be used by all kinds of machinery and persons.

We can define them as the different types of requests that it has to be capable of supporting a pavement without altering either its appearance or technical properties, they are of several types, mechanics, chemistries, thermal, to the slide, impermeability. . .

It is the resistance that refers to the hardness and aptitude to support high charges, of fortitude before the wear or opposite to impacts in a pavement. They split three types:

- resistance to the Graze, is the aptitude to maintain the properties of the pavement before the wear.

- Resistance to the Impact, aptitude to maintain the properties opposite to the fall of heavy objects.

- Resistance before punctual charges, the aptitude to maintain its opposite to charges, so much you fix (paws of shelves, supports of machinery) as mobile charges (fork-lift trucks, machinery in transit)

It is the resistance that offers a pavement before the degradation by means of such aggressive substances like acids, bases, dissolved, greasy salt or oils.

It is the capacity that has a pavement of supporting high or excessively low temperatures without reducing its characteristics, the resistance to the thermal shock is the aptitude to maintain the properties before sudden changes of temperatures (effusion of very warm or very cold liquids).

It is the aptitude to avoid the persons' slide or vehicles (machinery) that has a pavement, it measures itself for the rugosity or grain of the finished one.

It is the aptitude to block the way, not only of liquids, but also of the substances dissolved in these.

It is the aptitude of a pavement to be cleaned of exhaustive form with aggressive products by requests of extreme cleaning keeping intact all its technical characteristics (clean rooms, operating theaters, stores of food, rooms of making. . . )

It is the aptitude of a pavement to be covered although large number of moisture exists in the support without they taking place blisterings.

The systems are structures or combinations of materials that serve to realize pavements, they are composed by one or several layers of elements that shape a finished one adapted to the requested concrete needs.

We can find systems named by its composition, dry mortar, polyurethane - cement, thrombocyte, by the needs that cover, antistatic systems, systems comfort, or for the layers that shape it, monogelds systems, multigelds systems.

It refers to the resistance of a pavement before the ultraviolet beams bombing without degrading its capacities and resistances, without altering its color or aging.

It is the aptitude to cover existing fissures in the support or of new formation that has a pavement, and it depends to a great extent on the flexibility or elasticity of the same one.

It is the aptitude to offer high esthetics of a pavement to be able to be considered like decorative.
